1. Rest + Play Fuel Success 🍪

If you enjoy your work, it'll lead you to more joy. It's that simple. It's how the laws of the Universe work.

Joy being one of the highest frequencies on human existence, it's attractive, it's magnetic and it's inspiring. And the most graceful marketing is through clients / customers who are inspired to buy from you.

Ask yourself, who are you more likely to buy from? A business woman who is burned out, soul dry, with dark circles around her eyes (hidden under layers of caked on makeup) or a business woman is joyful, well rested and radiant?

Women who are upgrading from entrepreneur to freedompreneur either: 1. love their work but are drained by the business dev or 2. are excelling in business dev but dislike their work.

The most graceful and effective solution to this is: rest until you feel like playing, then play until you feel like resting. At first, your ego-mind will spin itself into a tantrum frenzy, with atomic hatred or rejection of this simple truth. That's normal.

It's the ego-mind's job to keep things complex by rejecting simplicity, so that it's never out of a job. In fact, the ego-mind will even invent problems (that aren't even problems in the first place) just so it has something to solve.

Rest until you feel like playing, then play until you feel like resting, period. Never do anything else.
– Martha Beck

If a part of your work (whether it's working in the business or on the business) doesn't feel like play, craft a new way of doing business. Craft your way. I promise you, your way is the only way you'll know grace at the convergence of: ease, peace, awe, joy and trust.

Your way, infused with deep rest and child-like play is faaaaaar more powerful at creating impact, prosperity and legacy than any marketing strategy or tactic.

2. Play + Rest Lead to High Vibration 🍪

In my teacher Brené Brown's book, The Gifts of Imperfection, she outlines 10 Guideposts for Wholehearted Living.

Number 7 is: Cultivating Play and Rest: Letting Go of Exhaustion as a Status Symbol.

You know when people, who aren't fully present in their body or in the moment (or into each other), greet:

- One asks, "How are you?"
- The other replies, "Oh, you know. Busy!"

What they're really saying is, "I don't have the time and/or desire right now to catch my breath and truly discern what I'm feeling. It's sooooo much quicker and easier to showcase my high worth by the high volume of my busyness."

There is no trophy for best burnout.
– Ellany Lea

Busyness and exhaustion are not magnetic to audiences. Using busyness to market your products and services, in order to hold on to exhaustion as a status symbol, will require an ENORMOUS amount of energy and effort, most of which is wasted on hiding the truth and pretending everything is peachy. That a lot of wasted energy.

There is no trophy for best burnout, I guarantee it. I tried a few times, no trophy.

Rest and play will make you whole, and that wholeness will make you so peaceful, and that peace, which vibrates at the highest level of consciousness, will draw in more graceful results than force ever could!

3. True freedom doesn’t require sacrifice 🍪

I built a thriving business without sacrificing:

  • my sleep - I've slept 8-10 hours a night
  • my health - I've eaten well and practiced antigravity yoga and acroyoga weekly
  • my friendships - I've skyped several besties every week
  • my travels/fun - I've travel and explore a new countries every 2-3 months
  • my time - I've worked 3 days/week, 3 weeks/month, 9 months/year

Freedom aligned with and powered by the soul doesn't require sacrifice. In fact, the grace that shows up when the soul takes charge brings such magical timing, serendipitous connections, unexpected resources and expansive opportunities. No amount of sleep deprivation and soul-crushing sacrifice will come anywhere close to the power of grace.

4. "Fun Friends" Are Crucial 🍪

As freedom seekers, overachievers, trailblazers and founders, we have depth. Suuuuuuch depth! Which is where our ideas, drive, passion, creativity, and heart of service come from.

Also as mentors, teachers, guides, trainers and healers, we also carry heavy loads: of other people, of karma, and/or of excruciating lessons that we are willingly brave enough to learn.

So it's crucial for us to have "rainbow child" friends, young jolly souls not yet weighed down by the gargantuan task of actualizing: big potential, universal compassion, or earthly enlightenment.

On these big quests, we often forget to laugh and be silly. So find and embrace "fun friends", who bring balance, rest, play and lightheartedness into your life.

Remember to set firm boundaries because the shadow side of "fun friends" is they often don’t understand your blazing drive to impact the globe. They'll just want you to come out and play all the time, and maybe even call you "lame" when you don't.

5. Unplugging is Powerful 🍪

And last but not least, a classic from Anne Lamott:

Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.
– Anne Lamott
